About Jamin O'Donovan
BACP Registered Counsellor · Kensington & online
I’m a psychosynthesis counsellor from Ireland. I came to this work through music, teaching and youth work, and I’ve also worked as a consultant in the construction industry, so I know how hard it can be to talk about what’s going on inside.
I believe everyone has a spark and real capacity. Therapy is about understanding what’s in the way, and letting it come through.
I work in person in Kensington and online.
Before we begin...
What is psychosynthesis counselling?
Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal approach, which means it takes the whole of you seriously: your history and patterns, but also your values, your sense of meaning, and who you might become. Alongside understanding what’s keeping you stuck, we’ll look at your capacity to choose, what Assagioli, its founder, called the will. Sessions are collaborative and go at your pace.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to meet and explore what's brought you to therapy. There's no expectation that you'll have everything worked out - we'll take time to understand your situation and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
Do you work in person or online?
Both. I see clients in person at a quiet consulting room in Kensington, London, and also work online. Sessions are 50 minutes and held weekly.
